I was mailed back a letter to attend sheriff cadet physical exam and the oral interview Im really looking forward to this I feel this will be a great oppurtunity to become a police officer but i understand that they have to run a background check on me. previously i applied a senoir care job and they pulled my background and they pulled up a misdemeanor for a loud music two years ago other jobs i had ran my background and i passed it but i never even knew that was on my record and before i enlisted in the military two years ago i had to pay all tickets off before i could join and the only one i had was a speeding ticket i didn't even recieve a notice in mail for the music ticket but i want to know is will this harm my chances of getting in

and another question is do any one know any of the interview questions they ask you

  1. This will definitely hurt your chances of getting in. They are going to be looking for cream of the crop up-standing citizens with nothing on their record to add to their task force. Having something as careless as not paying a ticket really does have something to say about your personality. Usually, the interview will consist of your past, be sure to be ready and honest about your past, because if they ask you, they already know. Be ready for a physical test, a polygraph test and a psych evaluation. That is if you make it past the background.
