Sherwood surround sound system?

sherwood surround sound system it keeps turning off when the volume goes up beyond 41!

did anyone have this problem? and if so can you please help~|!!

  1. I have seen this before....

    LOOK at the wiring.....you will find a THIN wire shorting across the RED and BLACK connectors on your amplfier OR one of your speakers....

    Remove it, retwist the ends....and you will be back in business in no time flat.....

    And I hope you didn't Splice pieces of wire together to make it longer....if so, get some electrician's tape and insulate the untaped splices....


  2. It sounds to me like teh power supply is running out of gas and going into protect mode to save itself from failure.

    If "41" is a very low volume setting- check your speaker cables for a possible short, i.e. +/- leads touching each other.

    If 41 is high- which I assume it is- than you are simply asking the receiver to do to much. If you need more volume you either need more power or more efficient and easier to drive speakers.

  3. yes i have too  this is due to its intelligence built in  it detects abt the spacing arround it and works accordingly
