Okay Im pretty sure the prayer times are the same, but howcome when im comparing different websites like sunni websites and shia websites for sunrise/sunset and prayer times in Seattle area, they are all different? Do shias and sunnis break their fast and pray at different times? I wasnt aware of this, maybe somethings wrong with the websites, because i noticed one sunni website says a different time from the other??

Do shias and sunnis actually pray and practice fasting differently?

Please help. Im confused. If anyone knows a good and accurate sunni website with times for iftaar and prayers for the US, plz post.

Ramadan Karim to everyone!

  1. Please do not assume I am ridiculing but Shia's how come you break your fast a little later....? What is the Hukm (wisdom) behind this....?

  2. 5 to 10 minutes difference, nothing to worry about.

  3. Yes they break it at different times.

P.S Visiting a Shia site is a big sin.

  4. i think you should avoid sunni and s**+'a... and go for Muslim. no debate there.

  5. They are different. Shia break their fast about 10 minutes later. They doubt the sun went down! so to make sure they wait. This is however a minor difference if compared to the major differences in the beliefs. You have to understand that they are a deviant sect from real islam. May Allah guide them back to true islam.

  6. i guess everyone already answered your question!

but i just wanted 2 say your name means angel!!! lol! ive never heard of that name! its so unique!!

  7. the Shia Muslims break their fast a few minutes later than the Sunni Muslims, its always been like that, same thing with the Maghrib prayer...if u think about its actually better to extend ur fast just a few more minutes cause if you broke ur fast a few minutes earlier than when ur suppose to break  it, ur whole day's worth of fasting is gone and does not count and you must re-fast that day

Ramadan Kareem to you as well sister
