Shift on permanatley?

I was wondering if anyone can help me

Its almost like the shift key is on constantly?

As you can tell I cannot use any full stops or commas they come up as < or >

If I wanted to press one ! would come up or two “ etc

Also the shift key doesnt work I have to use CAPS LOCK if I want capitals

does anyone know whats happened to it? is it a setting or the actual keyboard

  1. It sounds like filter keys are on.  Go to control panel, and accessibility options.  Look on the keyboard tab, and uncheck use filter keys, or anything else that is checked their.


  2. If you press shift key of your computer for more than 8 seconds

    Filter Keys get turned on.  FIlter keys cause windows to ignore brief or repeated key strokes and slows down the Keyboard repeat rate.

    Just go to control panel select keyboards there you will find the required solution.
