Sunrisers Hyderabad’s opening batsman, Shikhar Dhawan was happy to see his side qualify for the playoffs of the ongoing sixth edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) by thrashing defending champions, Kolkata Knight Riders, by 5 wickets in a must win match, played here at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Uppal, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Hyderabad-c792 on Sunday.
Chasing a middling 131 to win, Dhawan (42 off 35) set up the platform for the hosts sharing an opening stand of 89 runs with http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Parthiv-Patel-c2159 (47 off 37). However, after the opening duo departed in quick succession, a middle order capitulation saw the Sunrisers slumping to 112 for 5 in the 18th over, from 100 for 1 in the 14th over.

"I feel it was a great opening partnership between me and Parthiv," Dhawan said. "We got off to a good start and did the job for our team. Also, hats off to Darren Sammy who held his nerve to finish the game for us," he added further.
Dhawan also lauded his side’s bowling attack for its impressive show, restricting the star-studded KKR line up to just 130 for 7 in 20 overs, saying they have got “a lethal bowling attack”.
