I have a problem with my shinco ( model: GM-408 ) personal navigation system. I am in Sydney, Australia and the thing worked fine for the last year or so. Anyway the other day I saw on the screen what looked like an update to my software with a EULA and an agree button. I assumed it was doing the update through the GPS and I touched the agree button and it went to another window telling me about the hazards of operating the GPS whilst driving with a box which I ticked so this message wouldn't come up again. When I pressed on the "next" button I was taken to the map screen and it showed I was in Melbourne, which is 1000k away from Sydney. So now my satellites aren't showing and I cannot use the GPS, but everything else works fine, just the most important thing doesn't ( the GPS navigation cause no satellites). I tried resetting the unit but no joy. I don't have the Destinator programme which it uses to reinstall as I feel it's a software problem, somehow got corrupted during that update. It came with everything preinstalled, Destinator 6.1.8.357 and all Australian maps. It's been a terrific unit up til my problem and if anybody can help me with it I would really appreciate it.Nicknick.brandt@optusnet.com.au
