  1. All the shingles are the same age so you will probably need to replace all of them. Doubt you will be able to find a color match for whats there anyways.

  2. You should be able to just change out in sections. If there's nothing wrong with the rest I wouldn't take on the expense.

  3. I would have someone check out the attic for ventilation issues if that's all the longer the roof lasted......

  4. Chances are that if some shingles are doing this, then the rest will follow in short order.

Get three roofing companies out to inspect the roof, you can ask if a partial replacement is appropriate and get estimates for a full putting on a new one.

But, it would be best to just get it all done at once and be done with it.  Get it done right and it will last 30 + years and add value to your house for 5-10 years to come.

It was probably only guaranteed for 5 to 10 years, but if the roofer who did the work is still in business, I'd talk to them. They may be willing to repair their work for less than a third party would charge to protect their reputation.

I would also check for recalls on the roofing material used.  It may have been found defective. In which case, the manufacturer should bear the cost of repair.

A roof really should last twice that amount of time depending on your location.
