lose heart after two late goals and transfer their focus towards the upcoming encounters.
Kagawa reckons that Dortmund still have a chance of winning the title this season despite experiencing a poor start to this year’s campaign. He added that the team is currently suffering from injuries, which is one cause of poor results thus far. He confirmed
that the injured players will be back soon and claimed that Bayern will lose points somewhere on the road.
While talking to the local press after the game, the 22-year-old added, “I am very disappointed to have missed the opportunity to win. But it is just a start of the season and we have enough chance to win (the league). Last year we could score more after
our first goal (for each game). We still have such momentum.”
The player also expressed satisfaction at his own performance and wished to challenge Bayern Munich’s Mario Gomez for the top goalscorer honours. He concluded by saying, “I was happy for my goal. I think I am more happy if we could win. I am always willing
to score. I feel such atomosphere (to score). I hope this goal could be good step to continue it.”
Dortmund are currently 11th on the league table with seven points and will next be seen in action on Saturday, September 24, against FSV Mainz.
