Barrios scored for the visitors.
The Japanese international praised his teammate, Barrios, for scoring his first goal for the club this season after returning from injury. Kagawa mentioned that the Paraguayan was clinical during the last 25 minutes after he came
on as a second-half substitute to replace http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robert-Lewandowski-c31255.
Kagawa stated that both he and Barrios had a difficult first-half of the season, and he is pleased to see Barrios amongst the goals. The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Paraguay-c2979 international grabbed 16 goals last season from 32 appearances, leading Dortmund
to the Bundesliga crown. However, this season, Barrios has lost his place to Lewandowski in the starting XI which prompted him to hand in a transfer request.
While talking to the official club website after the game, Kagawa further added:
"It was important that he (http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lucas-Barrios-c22533) scored a goal. After the game I went to see him and was happy for him. We both had a difficult time in the first half of the season."
On the other hand, the Japanese admitted that the conditions were tough as his side played in an extremely cold weather. He stated that it was freezing in Nuremberg, and Dortmund did extremely well to hold their nerves and emerge
as comfortable winners in the end.
"It was wonderful that we fought hard again as a team for the full 90 minutes. It was a good win, the ground wasn't a problem, but it was very cold. In the beginning it was important that we stayed focused. The conditions were
tough, but that was expected, after all, it was an away game," Kagawa concluded.
Kagawa has so far scored six times this season from 17 Bundesliga games, and will be looking forward to continue his impressive run when the Borussians next take on Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday, February 11, at the Signal Iduna
Park.
