The Borussia Dortmund midfielder has showered praise on his team after the reigning German champions downed FC Koln 6-1 in the league.
The Borussians maintained their five-point lead at the top of the table as they got the better of Stale Solbakken’s side on Sunday, March 25. The visitors scored six times as they claimed their 19th win of the current campaign.

Kagawa rued missed chances in the first-half and admitted that his side could have finished the game in the first 45 minutes. The midfielder insisted that he did not get much of the ball and the home side defended well to remain in the game.
“It's not them [Koln] being good, it's that we were bad. I wish I'd gotten the ball more, and I was calling for it but it didn't come. I thought I'd definitely have an opportunity to create chances in the second half, and I'm glad I was able to convert with a header,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The Japanese international praised the team’s second-half display and admitted that Dortmund should play the way they did after the interval.
“It was really hot today, so in the first half everyone's movement was a bit slow, and in that our opponents scored first and it was a difficult start. I'd like it if we could start more games with the sort of play that we showed in the second half,” he concluded.
