The Borussia Dortmund attacker wishes to prolong his Dortmund stay and has dismissed comparisons with Barcelona’s Lionel Messi.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Shinji-Kagawa-c33364 has expressed desire to extend his stay in Germany while playing for Borussia Dortmund. The attacking midfielder has been in sublime touch recently and scored the only goal of the game against Bayer Leverkusen on
Saturday, February 11, helping his side to build their lead atop the league standings.
The Japan international has been a terrific find for the Black-Yellows and has been performing consistently since signing for them in 2010. The 22-year-old has already scored 15 times for the German club from his 37 league appearances,
and wants to continue this impressive run in the future.
Kagawa’s current contract with the club is set to expire at the end of 2013/14 season and it is highly likely that the Borussians will offer a renewed deal to the attacker. The former Cerezo Osaka star made 18 Bundesliga appearances
during his debut season in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904, scoring eight times in return. This season, the youngster has continued his impressive run and has already netted seven times in 19 league games.
While talking to local publication, ZDF, the Japanese further added: "I'm having a terrific time and would be happy if this were to continue. I want to stay."
On the other hand, the attacker also commented on his match-winning goal against Werkself last weekend. Kagawa’s first half goal proved decisive as Dortmund took their unbeaten streak to 15 matches in all competitions. The Japan
international stated that he needs to maintain his fitness and composure in order to be successful at this level.
"I used to score these kind of goals a lot in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Japan-c2928. Japanese players are small, so we have to make up for it with quickness and agility," Kagawa added.
When asked about his comparisons with three-time Ballon d’Or winner, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lionel-Messi-c22296, Kagawa mentioned that he is no way near the Argentinean international. "You can't even ask that question," Kagawa concluded.
The Japanese is definitely one of the key members of Jurgen Klopp’s side, and needs to stay fit in order to help his side retain their Bundesliga crown. Dortmund are two points clear of Bayern Munich atop the league standings and
three clear of Borussia Monchengladbach.
