I read somewhere about a ship that has ZC class, or another one was CCS or BV.

What are these classification? What do they mean?

  1. BV = Bureau Veritas

I am not sure of the other 2 you mentioned, never heard of them.  Basically a classification society keeps on eye on the ship, as per methods and quality of construction & repairs, and other items of seaworthyness of a vessel.  Similar to ABS - American Bureau of Shipping, etc.  Do a google search for ABS or BV and you will be able to find out more informations.
