Shipment of civilian goods to first duty station in USCG?

Ok. I need to know if my civilian clothes and computer are going to be shipped free of cost to me to my first duty station AFTER basic in the USCG? Also, they say you can bring a small suitcase to store your civilian clothes that you came in at Cape May. Can I bring my laptop and some more clothes for storage at basic training?

Yes your HHG will be shipped free of charge to your new duty station. I would not bring your laptop, I brought a boogie board and flippers and did not get them back, bring a small suitcase with a weeks worth of clothes.

HHG means household goods.
