  1. I believe so. I have hauled two young weanlings at a time in trailers from horse sales several times. They were strangers when they were put into the trailer and had bonded by the time we got home. They were left untied. Just don't make sudden stops or fast turns. I even hauled a yearling colt and a yearling gelded mini together from a sale and they were buddies when we took them out of the trailer. Here's a picture of them right after they got off the trailer:

  2. i would think maybe you should let them know eachother first cuz some horses dont get along and if you do they could get inguries

    or worse

  3. For the horse 40 minutes away I would use the box trailer.  The one 4 hours if you are willing to pay and dont want to drive try finding a trucking company.  I know someone who has used EquineExpress twice and loves the company and thinks they have the lower prices.  If you are willing to drive to both I would do two seperate drives.

  4. I would suggest leaving them separated when you trailer them. They don't know each other, so they may try to strike/bite each other when they meet. Leave the 2 horse alone and ship them like that. They will have plenty of time to get used to one another when they get where you are taking them.

  5. Can you make two separate trips? That way you can open the trailer into a large box for either one of them.Otherwise, get the one that's four hours away first with the stalls opened, when you go by to get the second ,divide the trailer back up.If you can't take the divider, they will probably be ok. They are babies and will probably be very happy to have a buddy on the trip.I would leave them untied if they aren't used to being tied and trailered, but give them a lot of bedding.
