  1. I would use Fedex or dhl

  2. who knows

  3. Yes, you can ship it safely. Just make sure to get a box a considerable amount larger than the actual TV. Then cushion the edges extremely well with a thick layer of bubble wrap and/or styrofoam. Put it in the larger box with a lot of padding allows it to get thrown around and even squished some without harm being done to the object.

  4. Your chances are equal with both, get insurance and follow the procedure.  Neither is very careful with anything but with good packing and insulation it can work out, I bought a few LCD's and Plasmas and had them shipped and had good luck, one had to be exchanged but its impossible to say if it was the manufaturer or the shipper.

  5. This can be done, the weight must be below 150 lbs, and there are dimension restrictions as well.

But here is the question I must ask you, do you really want UPS/FedEx handling a package of such high value?  UPS is very rough on their shipments, as well as FedEx.  Most televisions that are shipped from an online store are shipped via freight truck.

I know when I bought my Samsung 52" tele from digitaldealz.net it was shipped freight truck and then a courier service delivered it to my house.

Just something to keep in mind.

  6. yea i work for fedex and i'll tell you honestly we arent super careful with packages(neither is ups or dhl) we are careful enough and the packing is usually enough to "aid" in improper shipping methods.

    you'll most likely be fine
