Shipping a box to el salvador.?

my friends stationed there and i'm going to be sending him a box. but when i look on line i am getting qoutes of $400-500!! for a box that is going to be around 30lbs. any advise?

most of the companies i know for a box 30by30 wish is huge cost from $250 to $275 with flores shiping compani or juquiapa you can put like 1,000 pizes of cloth shoes tv, microwave you nameit my family and my self been using this companies for years and is safe we sent 2 or 3 boxes a year to el salvador from united state (california) $300 per box is to much.
