Question:

Shipping a heavy item by fedex.

I need to ship my electronic synthesizer from CA to NY. It weighs 54 lbs and measures 56 x 15 x 6 inches. Any suggestions on how to package it so that it won't get damaged in shipping? I thought of those liquid packaging foams, but I can only find industrial large ones. Also I'm not sure how strong they are.

Any tips will be appreciated.

  1. OK YOU CAN PUT SOME FABRIC AROUND THEM AND THEY WILL NOT BE THAT HEAVY I THINK SO

  2. one thing that you can do is ship it with thick sweaters around it. We handle those packages really fast and sometimes toss them all three companies do not just fdx, ups and dhl do the same. or you could also bubble wrap it too. another option could be to go to the musical instrument store and buy a case specifically for the item, another is to go to those box stores and get a perfect measured box, and bubble wrap or li'l foam bubbles.
