Shipping on ebay???

I have never sold anything on ebay before so i am confused on how the shipping works. Here are my questions......

-Before i put my item on sale what are the steps i need to take? ( how to get boxes etc...)

-I want to use the 'shipping calculator' instead of pricing the shipping myself, but at the end ebay does let me know how much it is ...right???

-After a bidder won what are my next steps? (what do i do with my boxes etc....)

PLEASE HELP!!!!

Thank you :)

  1. You get the boxes/enveloppes from the post office, or buy them in some card store.

Shipping calculator, I don't know, I think that's an addon.

I think mostly you're trying to ship to your own country, so visit the web page of the post office and check how much a package of that weight will cost.

After your item is sold, contact the seller, give him your payment information, either your paypal adress or your bank account number and additional payment information.

When you have received the payment, just ship the package to the seller (post office)

  2. k, you dont need to do anything before except taking pictures of the item. You are better of calculating/guessing the amount for shipping. Usually shiping for items around 10 lbs is 15 dollars. So anything lighter will cost less. When your Item is sold, the buyer of the item will need to pay you. The most convenient and safe method is through paypal. com . You will need to start a new Paypal account so that the buyer can deposit money into your account via Paypal. Also, after the item is won, Ebay and Paypal will email you the shiping adress of the buyer. You can simply take you item to the post office/UPS/Fedex and they will have boxes in the store to help you package your item. Ship it and you are fine. :)
