  1. Do your absolute best at everything you do, follow directions, don't doanything stupid (if you ever think "this is stupid" then don't do it), volunteer especially for Leadership positions like Squad Leader, Platoon Guide, etc..) and enjoy the experience.

Oh, and hey....be careful out there!

  2. The first few days you will be running around with your head cut off, as my boyfriend put it, but try to keep cool. Don't volunteer for anything. Keep your ears open. Try to make it an enjoyable experience also.

Best of luck to you! :)

  3. WATCH YOUR BACK AND BE SAFE. AIRBORNE ALL THE WAY.

  4. Good luck in Infantry training.  Just do what the funny hat guys tell you to do.

When you get a pass, drop me an email and I'll buy you dinner.

    Thanks for serving.

  5. I throw the BS flag on the "Don't volunteer for anything" c**p.  Volunteer! Yeah, you may end up on KP (kitchen patrol), or driving a wheel-barrow instead of a truck for the day - but the Drill Instructors remember who volunteered when it comes time to assign REALLY crappy duties!!

And DO NOT QUIT!!!  Keep going until you drop - and then keep going some more!

  6. Please know our prayers are with you.  Godspeed!
