Zenit St. Petersburg’s Roman Shirokov has blamed the referee and poor field for their latest draw against Poland at Stadion Narodowy
In the second group stage match of Euro 2012, the Russian national team managed to claim a hard fought 1-1 draw against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Poland-c2983 at Stadion Narodowy on Tuesday. Jakub Błaszczykowski levelled the scoring in the second-half after Alan
Dzagoev had opened the scoring on 37th minute.

Russia managed to retain the top-spot in Group A despite the latest draw against the White Eagles. Czech Republic, on the other hand, climbed up to the 2nd spot on the table after winning 2-1 against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Greece-c2908 in their
opening game.
In aftermath of the outcome, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roman-Shirokov-c31645 conceded that his side failed to display quality football on Tuesday. However, he stressed that the opponent has not caused too many problems for their defenders as well.
“Today it was important to win. The quality of the game, probably in the background moves. We do not deserve to win against Poland and it looked that we played for a draw.” The UEFA Cup winner was quoted as saying.

Shirokov went on to lament the refereeing decisions in the match, insisting that they were unlucky not to get two penalties. He, meanwhile, has blamed the pitch for their below par performance.

There is little arguing to the statement that Russia can progress to the later stages, should they manage to claim a point in the final group stage match against Greece.
The former Rubin Kazan player has urged his team-mates to win the upcoming match against the Greeks if they are to progress to the later stages of the European tournament.
