Shirt in the washer&dryer shrink?

i just bought a large shirt today and pulled the tag off and tried it on and it was helluv big.

so when i put this shirt in the laundry for the first time itll shrink a bit right?

  1. Depending on what it is made of, yes. If it has high cotton percentages then it will, but I find they shrink up more then in, if that makes sense? Like it will end up showing you stomach rather than being tighter fitting on the sides.

    If it has high spandex levels it won't shrink much at all.


  2. clothing manufacturers tell us that clothing doesn't shrink we just out grow them. It depends on the material the shirt is made out of.

  3. A bit, but I always try it on before I rip the dang thing off. Actually I usually try it at the store if I can. When I'm ignorant enough to forget though (happened) and I can't do a thing about it I just sew the tag/s back on with white thread. It really doesn't matter. I've returned it and there was no problem, they didn't even notice. They could really care less. They just wanna get paid by the end of the week.
