Shirt shrinkage back to normal?

yeah my shirt shrunk in the dryer and i was wondering if theres anyway to bring it back to its normal size its 100% cotton

  1. Wash it again, pull it back to shape and then put it in the dryer for about 3 minutes and then hang to dry.


  2. Get the shirt soaking wet and put it through the spin cycle in the washer to get the water out.  Stretch and pull it into shape and lay it flat on a big bath towel to air dry. (Or hang on a clothesline to dry).  Cotton is very forgiving in this way, but you may have to air dry it from now on to prevent repeat shrinking.  I often hang single items on a broom handle supported from my dryer to the laundry tub.

  3. You can get some size back by the stretching methods above and I hope it works.  But realize once those fibers have twisted in shrinkage, you'll never regain that original prewashed size.
