Shirty Gerty aiming for hat-trick in April 700 Maiden at Mildenhall
Shirty Gerty will have to do a lot of hard work in order to accomplish her hat-trick. H. Dimmock’s trainee and five other hounds are geared up to show their magic in the April 700 Maiden, taking place at Mildenhall on Tuesday, April 03.
Bubbly Capel and Droopys Neale are two major players, who can destroy Shirty Gerty’s dream of registering her third back to back win. It is an interesting situation for the punters, as every single hound is desperate to do something special.
The drama will begin at 21:45 GMT. This 700 metres Grade OR heat has attracted six quality runners. Their names are: Bubbly Capel, Droopys Neale, Shirty Gerty, Nire Orla, Moaningvalentine and Crossleigh Tinko.
Shirty Gerty looks in great shape these days. Her two consecutive victories came after a few ordinary performances. On March 16, the spectators saw her breaking the shackles, sealing fist position by a healthy margin of 5¾ lengths.
Although her subsequent performance was not as emphatic, it was good enough to earn her victory by three quarters of a length. Having won two consecutive races, the daughter of Westmead Hawk is full of confidence.
