Shld i buy a new ipod?

hey guys... I want to ask this qn. my old ipod video of 30gb has jux spoiled with the 'white screen of death' and to make it worse I have tried to open the ipod to save it but ended up with a cracked lcd screen and dysfunctional wheel... my warranty is over and I am wondering if I should send it for repair? would the repair cost be too much so I should rather buy a new mp3 player or maybe the ipod classic of 80gb which cost 388. my old ipod video is bought at around 400 and only last year's june. any advice what I should do?

Repairing costs quite a bit, so i don't recommend that. If you're okay with an 8GB hard drive, I sell some far less expensive iPod substitutes (72 for an 8gb) online at http://www.inspirebolt.com.

since your warranty is over, dont send it for repair. get the ipod nano cause that has the same features as an ipod classic except its just smaller and cheaper.

you should buy a new one you know the ones that just came out its better than repairing your old one.

im pretty sure that apple is coming out with new ipods in like the first or second week of this september, but if u for some reason dont wanna wait, i say just get a new one. even if u dont wanna get when of the NEW ipods, the classics price will probably lower when the NEW ones come out
