  1. It depends, do you want to go for water rides alone or do you want a variety of shows, animals, coasters, and a small waterpark?

Sea World is known for shows and exhibits, but they have two coasters (Great White and Steel Eel), a flume ride, a rapids ride, and the Journey To Atlantis watercoaster. Sea World also has a nice waterpark with a huge wave pool. If you go to Sea World, be sure to check out the coral reef/shark exhibit; you can see all kinds of fish and sharks, and there are some smaller aquariums with a variety of sea creatures.

I have been a fan of the Steel Eel coaster since it opened in 1999. There is a large variety of things to do, which is a plus when you are visiting with family.

Schlitterbahn is an award-winning waterpark where you will find plenty to do. This park is divided into multiple sections, with tram service (which is included in admission). Be advised that on busy days you could end up waiting a while for a tram. Avoid going on holiday weekends or Saturdays. Schlitterbahn has also received multiple awards for best waterpark ride, which is the Master Blaster. The line will get VERY long in a hurry, so be sure to hit this one first! Also unique to Schlitterbahn are the tube chutes, which are supplied by the nearby Comal River. These are relaxing and some allow you to drop down to the river, or you can float to the ride's exit. The water is very cold, and feels darn good on those 100 degree days! My favorite rides at Schlitterbahn are Master Blaster and Downhill Racer (airtime!).

In short, if you want shows, rides, and exhibits, and a small waterpark, go to Sea World. If you want to go to a huge waterpark and don't want to go to shows and exhibits, go to Schlitterbahn. Both are great parks!

  2. Depends on your definition of fun. Seaworld is more family friendly. It has something for everyone. Its kinda like the Zoo meets Six Flags, heavy on the zoo side. There are a few coasters and smaller rides. Keep in mind, there is no where to swim at Sea World. Shlitterbahn is one of the top water parks in the country. If you're wanting to swim, don't pass on the opportunity to go to Shlitterbahn.

  3. Shlitterbahn!!!!!!!

Not many rides at Sea World - - it's mostly shows.

    :o)
