Sho Sasaki registered an easy win over James Eunson in Men’s Singles contest at Thomas Cup Finals
Japan’s top player Sho Sasaki put up wonderful show of his elite skills and thrashes his lower ranked opponent James Eunson of New Zealand in Men’s Singles contest at the Thomas Cup Finals 2012 in China, on Sunday, May 20.
Japan emerged as the winner in this team-event match against New Zealand with a stunning a stunning margin of 5-0.
In the opening Men’s Singles fight, the World Number 6 Sasaki showed his elevated skills in the court and remained successful in taming his rival without experiencing any sort of trouble.
The higher ranked Sasaki was on one-class above Eunson as he played with precision in the whole contest and won it easily in straight sets by working for just 28 minutes in the court.
On the other hand, Eunson tried to play competitive game in the opening set but failed to dominate the pace. In the second game, he remained unable to match the speed of Sasaki and lost the fight with a comprehensive margin.
In the first game, Eunson played remarkable badminton when he put up good show by coping up with the pace of rallies and also remained positive in the game.
In the meanwhile, the higher ranked Sasaki tried to set up an early lead but he failed to dictate his lower ranked rival until the one-minute break when both shuttlers were close on the score board.
After the break, Sasaki geared up his speed and worked well at net which helped him to take a reasonable lead on the board.
He remained on track in the court and remained successful in wrapping up the first set with a huge margin of 21-13.
In the second game, Eunson showed some spirit in opening rallies but failed to maintain his speed and remained far behind on the board until the mid-game interval.
After the break, Sasaki continued his commanding run in the court without facing any interruption and bagged the second set with an amazing ease by putting up 21-6 score on the board.
Sasaki won this Men’s Singles contest in just 28 minutes with a sensational 21-13 and 21-6 margin on the score board.
