Shoaib Akhtar, the former Pakistan fast bowler, has expressed his desire to become the national team’s bowling coach and said that he wants to serve the country in any possible capacity.

While talking to the reporters, the former cricketer said that he will accept the job, if offered by the PCB. The Rawalpindi Express claims that he has always played the game for the country and still wants to contribute to the national team’s cause and

"I am ready to be the bowling coach for Pakistan," Akhtar told reporters. "If the PCB contacts me then I will offer my services. It's an honour to serve the country and it can be done by helping the upcoming bowlers. It will give me a chance to pay back
what the country has given me."
Shoaib, who played 46 Tests, 163 One Day Internationals and 15 T20s for Pakistan, is one of the modern-day greats with more than 400 wickets at the ultimate stage of the game. His wicket-tally could have been much bigger, if the fast bowler had not struggled
with injuries throughout his career.
Pakistan’s upcoming assignment in international cricket is the limited-overs series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 in the United Aram Emirates (UAE), which comprises of three ODIs and as many T20s. Both the teams will be without their spearheads in the ODI series, with

Akhtar thinks that the two fast bowlers will be missed in a series which is expected to be a keenly contested one.
"Both Gul and Brett Lee will be missed in the series. But it will be a good series and bowlers will play a key role in the series," the Rawalpindi Express added.
