Shoaib Malik likely to get PCB’s central contract - Cricket News Update

According to sources, the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Shoaib-Malik-c90088, from the integrity committee, before announcing the list of the contracted players.  
As per the sources, the PCB chairman, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ijaz-Butt-c64128, has yet not approved the names of the players for central contracts.
However, the national selection committee has already forwarded the list to the chairman of the governing body of cricket in Pakistan.
“Apparently Ijaz wants to have discussions on the list submitted to him before he gives approval,” a source confirmed.
According to the reports, Butt wants to include the all-rounder, Malik, in the team for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Zimbabwe-c3045’s tour, and is looking forward to the meeting of the integrity committee, which is scheduled on August, 15, 2011.
“There is a feeling that since the integrity committee is due to meet on August 15 and the team does not leave for Zimbabwe until around August 24th the name of Malik be added in the central contracts list,” a credible source said.
Earlier, the PCB alleged that the middle-order batsman, Malik, was involved in suspicious activities, and forwarded his case to the integrity committee for further investigation.
In this regard, the PCB’s integrity committee, which has been working for the clearance of players for the national selection, asked Malik to provide them with his bank statements, and later they inquired him about the missing
£90,000 from his account.
Previously, the star all-rounder, Malik, failed to give any satisfactory answer to the committee when he was asked regarding the missing money; however, as per the sources now, he has provided all the evidence to the integrity
committee, and it is likely that he would be cleared in August 15’s meeting.
