Shoaib Malik named captain of Pakistan cricket team in Hong Kong super-sixes
Former Pakistan captain and middle order batsman, Shoaib Malik is all set to lead Pakistan's outfit in next month's Super Sixes tournament that will be held in Hong Kong. Pakistan Cricket Board’ selection committee made the announcement on Monday evening.
The 28-year old all-rounder has already captained the national squad for about one and a half year. Pakistan’s last One-day International series win was against the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760, under his captaincy in October 2008.
Adding to this, the middle order batsman also has been the skipper of his domestic team, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sialkot-c842 Stallions. The Stallions won the domestic T20 cup 4 times under his leadership. As a result, in light of his experience, he has been given the opportunity to
lead the side in Hong Kong.
Every team that participates in the event comprises of seven players. Six players can take part in the playing unit and the seventh player can act as a substitute.
Moreover, instead of Malik, other players in the team are, Sohail Khan, Shabbir Ahmed, Imran Nazir, Ahmed Shehzad, Asad Ali and Shoaib Khan.
Shoaib Malik is struggling for form in the last couple of months. It will be a perfect opportunity for the superstar to make his way back in the team.
