Shoal Point, Mackay, QLD?

We are moving to Mackay but I was looking at Shoal point.

How far is it from Mackay and what is it like?

My husband lived in Mackay for 10 years and from memory he says its about 15-20 minutes from Mackay CBD.

Hi, from memory shoal point is about a 30min drive north of Mackay.

Its a nice place, very quiet,not many houses really, great for boating/fishing.

They are starting to build shopping centres out that way now, ie, woolworths etc.

From what I can remember house prices were getting expensive though because its on the beach.
