Shocks or struts?

i have 1997 acura integra. recently, i was driving my car and suddenly car just bouncing up and down some reason like im on top of the rock or offroading!!!! can anyone tell me?

  1. Sounds like you need new struts.


  2. If it did it, literally in an instant it sounds like a shock blew it's seals, unless you have a linked/self adjusting suspension system? If so, it could be the central CPU that controls it gone haywire.

  3. Probably  bad strut. You need a strut spring compressor to change them. One costs about $ 20 at Harbor Freight.

  4. Struts are used on this car, both front and rear. Definitely sounds like the source of the problem.
