Shoe size "wide"?

Question

I currently wear Asics width 4E but am planning on buying some Nikes. Basically, I want to know if an Asics 4E translates to a Nike "wide" or "extra-wide". Thanks

If you are changing brand names, you really need to go to a running store and try on the shoes.  Besides the width, the actually shoe size varies.  I wear a different width and shoe size in Nike than I do in New Balance.

NIKE's normally run more narrow than other shoes..

Look at New Balance they actually make shoes in widths like regular street shoes which may work better for your foot.
