Shoes are too long.?

Question

I bought a pair of DC skate shoes in July and when I came back to Canada I realized they were a little too long. Does anyone have any idea what I could put in the toes of the shoe to maybe shorten the length? Or any other way to make my feet not slide against the back,

tissue, paper towel, toilet paper....

put some tissue at the tip

put some tissue at the back so it won't be too big.

put crumpled up tissue in the front of the shoe

wear multiple pairs of socks or use duct tape
