Shoes for Cross Country?

I am an experienced runner who is joining cross country in the fall. What kind of shoes do I need to get? I need some kind of spikes, right?

  1. yes, you should get spikes, they really help with traction and are very lightweight, they give you an overall advantage.

    you should consider getting nike xc spikes, they are very lightweight but still give you support. here's a link to them:

You need a good pair of training shoes---a local store shouled be able to pick a pair out with you to help with any pronation or specifics you need.  Also, a pair of spikes for race days is a big help and really essential if you want to be more successful.  Find pairs that are comfortable.  Everyone likes their own brand and style.  Good luck!!
