Shoes to buy for kids in N.California (no snow,just rain)?

Question

Looking for some input on where to buy shoes for grade school boy and girl to wear to school in N. California where there is no snow, but lot of rain and some rainstorms in winter. Looking for shoes that are:

- good for rainy weather when the road and playgrounds are wet and muddy

- Not bulky like snow boots

- No laces to tie

- comfortable to sit down in (that rules out rain boots)

- they can wear throughout the school day

but something a tad cheaper perhaps, as they'll be wearing them only about 10-15 times in a season. Shoe sizes 12.5 and 2 or 3.

i live in n.cali i buy my kids vans they are trendy comfy affordable and they come in velcro, or slide ins.... i even wear them!
