  1. I usually don't put shoes on my daughter at home, but if we go out I'll put her in any kind of shoe.  I have those expensive shoes from stride rite and some from walmart, payless, and target.  She wears tennies if she's going to be out on the playground, but I put her in crocs, and sandals when its really hot.  I don't care really.  I do have a preference for Target's shoes b/c they the cutest styles!

  2. 99% of the time, none. Kids should spend as much time as possible barefoot so their feet develop properly. For shopping trips or outings we use crocs, they don't force the foot into an unnatural arch.

  3. I suggest getting him some Robeez.

I got them for my son (who is 11 months old) because he is just learning to walk.

They are extremely easy to put on and are as close to barefoot as possible (which is preferred for a baby who is learning to walk; or new to walking) ..

They also sale them at Target under the name brand, 'Circo.'

They are about half the price and just as good!

    The shoes come in sizes:

    0 -12 months.

    12 - 24 months.

    2 - 4 years.

.... so they won't outgrow them for a while.

(they can wear the same shoe for a year or more, depending on how much wear and tear they put on the shoe.)

I got a pair of blue ones for my son, he loves them. They are also very comfortable in the summer or winter weather. It's as close to barefoot as you're going to get :)

  4. i get Primigi shoes for my dd. http://www.primigi.it/index.php?lang=1

  5. Noah wears plain white Nike's (JCP and Kohl's).  He also has a pair of Thomas the Train sneakers (Kohl's and Sear's).  Walmart has Elmo shoes, I saw them there yesterday :)

And, we own several pair of Croc's (generic brand at Walmart).  We wear them while inside our house because of the cold tile and we wear them in the yard (scorpions in TX).

JCP often has little boy's shoes on clearance.  I don't like to pay more than $14.00 for a pair of sneakers.  I found his last two pair at JCP, Nike's w/ fake laces and one velcro thing (white leather, red thread, navy swoosh).  Very cute!

  6. When my son was this age I got him Nike and Sketcher tennis shoes.  He did very well with both.  JC Penny has a good selection of kids shoes.  Shoe Carnival is also a good store for small sizes.

  7. My son has been wearing shoes since he was born.  Whenever we went some where I put his shoes on just like I did for me.  When he started walking people would always say he had to have the soft soled shoes.  I didn't like them so I didn't use them.  I put my son in whatever shoe or sandal I liked and went with his outfits.  He never had any problem walking.  I've gotten shoes from just about everywhere, and I don't think it matter's most about where you get them as long as they fit.  One thing though, his cousins feet are very tall and short, so my sister has to get special shoes for them.

If you don't have that problem...I've gotten them from walmart, target (they usually have cute ones that velcro), payless (very small selection), stride rite, sears, burlington coat factory, famous foot wear, old navy, factory outlets.  The thing for me is I'm kind of picky on the shoes he wears, so if I'm out and I find a pare that I like, if he doesn't need them at the time, I get them in the next size up, because whenever he does need them I can't find ones that I like.

  8. Barefeet is best but when they can't be barefeet just get your child a good pair of sneakers like you'd buy for yourself. We got our daughter Nikes. She adjusted to them really well. The hardest part is getting the right size, but most stores will help you. Good Luck!

  9. well i have a daughter and i use crocs and hannah montana sneakers, but since its summer, crocs because they stay on when she runs.

  10. my son has a selection of shoes. he has green doc martens, trainers fitted by the shoe shop ( with velcro so he can fasten them himself), sandals, flip flops (house and garden only), wellies and little walking boots.

if it is going to be raining all day, he wears his walking boots. if it will be mostly nice but showery, he wears sandals or trainers and takes his wellies with him.

  11. We have a pair of George Baby shoes that we bought from the baby aisle at Walmart.  They're soft rubber soled with a long opening and tongue and a velcro closure.  They are so easy to get on his feet since the tongue folds down so far.  They were about $12 and have been really great shoes for us.
