Well, my friend both Shoaib Akhtar & Brett Lee have different kinds of consistency! They are the same fast pace bowlers of different countries but their variations differs a lot. The style of bowling, running, etc are very different among each other. But all i want to say is "The Rawalpindi Express" is really good no doubt to that so is Brett lee, one can't compare as they are lovely bowlers with an equal quality ranking...

Shoaib is unfit, inconsistent, lacks control, cannot maintain speeds like Lee for a longer periods of time, and has more stamina and cannot bowl for very long spells.

Lee is more consistent, quicker more consistently (Shoaib can bowl some really quick balls, but does not bowl a lot of them, Lee higher average speeds), Lee has greater control, a better yorker, a better bouncer, he is extremely fit and has high stamina and can bowl for long periods of time.Shoaib is not a great fielder, weak arm, slowish. Only slogs, usually unsuccessfully..can't defend for long periods of time.

In the outfield Lee has a much stronger arm, is extremely fast and is an all round good fielder with safe hands. He offers a lot more with the bat and averages 20 in both forms of the game and can he the ball further then just about anyone else. Has a good eye. Much stronger defense then Akhtar.

In my opinion Lee is far better and offers more to his side.

Brett Lee is better

He has a real bowling action, his from arm goes all the way up and down again whereas Shoaib hardly has a front arm which is where he generates his pace from

And we have to agree

Lee's inswinging yorker or chin music bouncers are LETHAL

He is fantastic to watch.

For a bowler, just pace is not enough to be called a best bowler. The bowler should have an intelligent head and should know hw to bowl to a batsmen, how to change the line & length and should keep the batsmen guessing.Above all consistency. Bret lee is of this breed.

If a bowler bowls 5 good balls and gives one loose ball for a six then at the end of the 10 overs he will have an average of 6 and over which is not good. Sheer pace can help a bowler get into record books but doesnt help him to stay there for ever. Shoaib belong to this category.

From my opinion Bret Lee is the best bowler of this generation.

Akhtar is a FAR better bowler in tests than Lee.

Lee is extremely overrated in tests. Only recently has he started performing well.

Akhtar is far more talented though, it's a shame he's so messed up.

Shoaib is only about the pace with no consitency.

And Bret has been a leading bowler in Australia team. he has accuracy line and length and bowls the right area.

Of course!! Its Bret Lee.Shoaib is a good fast bowler but he is not a match winnig bowler. Bret Lee can turn the game at anytime!! He is better.

Brett's teriffic record was done from hard times and a lot of injuries and guess what NO DRUGS too....

Brett lee is the best. He is a sharp shooter with one of the best in swings, yorkers. His speed and length is perfect and one of the best bowlers now. s****.Akhtar is an derailed Rawalpindi Express who will sue by his board in coming days. Dont know how much SRK must have spent to bring this derailed express in IPL. But nothing happened. He was out with knee injury or God knows the news that broke out that he was taking steroids kept him out in the last matches.
