Shooting concert photography?

if i want to shoot a photo and make it look like this:

what setting should i put it on?

if you recommend me to put it on the manual setting, what should i set the iso/ aperture, etc to be?

and i know the lighting comes from the lighting is from the lights put up at the show.

  1. First off what camera will you be shooting with....how far away will you be setting etc...all makes a difference


  2. The only thing that I can suggest is use a longer shutter speed. The other settings will fall into place. This is called reciprocity.

  3. it may just happen naturally because the guy and lights are moving try one when lights are moving back and forth like that. You can also increase the exposure time, this will increase the time the camera absorbs that image so things that are moving will create more of the trail like effects. It may be too much and faster moving things will be just a blur.
