when i went to my local store, i got two of the same exact mountain dews, when i got up to the register the guy only scanned one twice, nd never scanned the other.

so would i be able to ust walk out of the store with one nd not get caught, cus the alarms wouldnt go off? no saying im going to, its just a question?

if the items are simular and have the same bar code why would he scan each one individually?  besides.. its a can of soda... not a fur coat.  they dont have alarms on them.

You already bought them right? Well - answer your own question. Were you able to just walk out of the store and not get caught? Did the alarms go off?

The bar code on one Mountain Dew is the same as the bar code on the other Mountain Dew.  Therefor, scanning one twice is the same as scanning each one once.  You are not stealing, you are paying for both.  No harm, no foul.

SO YOU THINK when the cashier scan only one you think you are not paying the other mountain dews? THAT IS INCORRECT, since they are both the same exact mountain dews, only one is scan for the price and the other one will be just punch in the cashier so ALL IN ALL you are paying both of them NOT JUST ONE. He doesn't need to scan both since both of the softdrinks you bought are the same brand so therefore the price is the same.

WHY NOT LOOK AT THE RECEIPT from the cashier after you walk out of the store you will notice both are punch in your receipt. YOU CAN'T FOOL  a business like a grocery store EVERYTHING YOU BOUGHT must be payed in the cashier. NOTHING IS ABSOLUTELY FREE now adays. THE ONLY FREE IS THE AIR WE BREATH.
