  1. yeah you should go for sure! Even if you don't find anything too nice, you'll probably find some cute clothes. And eat some good food. You'd have fun.

  2. Just go a little more west of Chinatown and you will get to Kensington Market, that is better for clothes, but you will find some thrift stores with used clothes.

P.S. I know your question is not about earrings, but watch out if you are gonna buy earrings around Kensington Market or Chinatown. Sometimes they sell you plastic earrings. One of my friends had one of the plastic studs break in her ear. She didn't get hurt or anything from it but she spent reasonable money on the earrings. She warned me and I'm passing on the warning.

  3. Well, I don't know the names of most of the shops, but Chinatown is a great place to go for clothes.

I would suggest starting in Kensington market (Augusta/Baldwin/Kensington streets) and then walking down Spadina from College to Queen. There are TONNES of great stores along there. Also, if you look in the stores on Queen street, there are some great places for funky clothes.

The prices vary a lot. You can get some stuff at more upscale funky shops that's quite expensive, but in the same area there are lots of stores with very cheap clothes - sometimes just a couple of dollars for a T-shirt. There's some cool vintage stuff in a couple of stores in Kensington (there's a nice one on Kensington avenue, just a bit north of Dundas) and several places along Queen. You might like Black Market; it has some interesting stuff, but sometimes it can be overpriced.

  4. Check out Kensington Market too, there are so many stores and there are always unique finds.

If you're looking for funky, unique stuff, you should try Pacific Mall in Markham too, there's usually reasonably priced stuff there too.

  5. Not chinatown.  Go behind chinatown (towards the west) and shop in Kensington Market.  That's where they have cheap clothes!

  6. I agree with the person above me, Kensington Market is the way to go. I baught a really great scarf there for $10 not too long ago. Thats a good price seeing as the type of scarf I baught usually goes for $20-$25
