Shopping for a beach cruiser...help!!!?

Question

Which brand makes good beach cruisers? I ride a road bike and I know a bit about purchasing a decent bike...but the same brands (specialized, giant, cannondale etc) don't make beach cruisers and I don't know where to look for a quality beach cruisers. Any advice?

honestly,

buying a used one at a yard sale for a bargin and fixing it up is the best way to go. Nothing beats that feeling of fixing a a cruiser that just needs a bit of TLC. Plus, it doesn't cost that much to make one look pretty sweet. New ones that you can buy just look too... i don't know... touristy
