Shopping for a desk?

I am trying to find a desk for my laptop. I don't want to spend a ton of money. I was thinking of two filing cabinets that are small or even two bookcases that are short and wood that goes along hte two to create the desk surface. I am having a tough time finding anything like that online. I would love to make it myself but I'm not mechanically inclinded :(
