  1. It sounds like you are a traditional romantic...  Have you thought about a "Day for Her"?  You could get her a spa package or a gift card for her favorite hair and nail place.  Also, you could volunteer to chauffeur her and her girlfriends around that day (and include a gift card for lunch).  This all depends, I realize, on her interests and your budget...  The other gift that is always a special addition is a framed collage of pictures of your first year together...  I would LOVE it if if my fiance put that together.  You could follow that up with a promise to take her out to get professional engagement photos together.

  2. Just a thought that it doesn't have to be something you buy - for our first anniversary my husband brought me home two kittens - which he knew I would adore as I had cats before we married. It was the BEST gift ever!

  3. What is she into? Here are some of my absolute favorite gifts from my husband:

Garmin GPS to go GeoCaching (these are just around $99)

    New digital camera

new digital camera lens (it is SO awesome!!)

new golf clubs so we can play together (he actually bought these for me just 2 days ago, although he was trying to buy himself a set. Long story.)

He also gets me charms for my charm bracelet. Each charm represents something we have done together. My first bracelet (which I wear often) has 18 or 19 charms. When we look at it, we can remember all of the great things we have done together.

We are working on our second charm bracelet. I have to order a sky diving charm. Some of our stuff is a little hard to find, but we can find most at Something Silver or on Ebay. (I only wear silver, so all the charms are silver.)

If she wears jewelry, a charm bracelet representing things that you did throughout the year may be a great idea. (I know you said you've gotten her jewelry - but does she actually wear it on a regular basis?) It could get a little expensive, though - up to a couple of hundred bucks. But if she likes jewelry and is sentimental, it may be perfect. You absolutely need to know if she wears silver or gold, and how she feels about dangling jewelry! They have "slider" charms, which are newer and very popular. I hate them. I only wear the hanging charms. So you have to know what she likes!

Anyway, watch her eyes light up as you give it to her and explain what each charm means. You could spend hours talking about all of the things. Though, I'm sure she'll want to finish talking and get to thanking you.

I also put a book together about every year of things we have done. You can upload pictures and write all the words and you will get a hard-bound library-style book at http://www.heritagemakers.com/. They are only about $50 and last forever! Don't go to some of the knock-off sites - their books' pages are often glued in, not sewn in, and they don't last as long.

What was your budget? That would help.
