  1. Yes clothes are cheaper there but you also got to look out for fakes. I would go to the SM (Super Malls) They have movie theaters, ice skating, even an amusement park in most malls. It is so much fun. I personally love their CAMP JEANS brand (seen worn on Paris Hilton) and also their NIKE stores have tennis shoes that won't even come out in the U.S. till a year and a half later! Super cheap. Like I got these Nike's for $40, they were sold here for over $100! The cost of everything is probably half of what you'd pay in the U.S. Have fun!

  2. i bet you wont like it in divisoria.....  so i suggest u go to SM... yes it is cheaper... trust me.. and we have big malls

  3. US and international brands is pretty much  the same price (after dollar-peso conversion) as here in US plus US brand clothing stores in Philippine malls don't go on sale to the extreme. If you want real cheap, there are stalls in the streets of Divisoria and Baclaran where you can find unbranded as well as knock off items. You can get a shirt with large logo prints (Bebe, Gucci, Nike, etc.) for $3 or less but of course, those aren't really well made and won't last long.

If you like to shop for basic clothes, Giordano is a good one. The style and quality of apparels are similar to J Crew and Banana Republic. If you like affordable funky and colorful outfits, try Genevive Gozum.

Btw, there are over run outlets in most SM malls. They carry discontinued rocawear, old navy, gap, and similar brand apparels. US brand bubble jackets, vests and other outerwear is the only thing I can find cheap in those outlets.

  4. real cheap so shop 'til you drop

  5. There are plenty of high-end department stores like SM have lots of choices.  I found prices to be very cheap compared to American department stores.  Especially for the top quality stuff.  Generally about half the cost. Sometimes even less.  Good value.  There are some limitations on sizing.  Filipinos are generally small and thin people so if you are in the XL and up size you might be hard pressed to find something that fits right.  Whenever I go there I only pack socks and underwear.  Philippines is the only place I can afford to splurge on clothes.  If your a petite female your options are unlimited and WAY cheaper than US stores.

  6. Non designer labels:

    Cheapest -- US$3 upwards

    Midrange -- US$ 20 upwards

  7. Yes they are cheap but again be careful with the materials.  My friends just recently went there and got me a shirt and pants large size but it shrunk so much and turn out to small size instead.

  8. When you get there, ask for a place called DIVISORIA (Manila).

Not sure of the spelling but thats how you say it.

OMG you cannot imagine the price of stylin checkered shorts...one cost me just $2 and they are brand new cos I saw the new stocks. Its basically a place that sells clothes and other items to the big stores in fancy malls...basically distributors. THe place is HUGE and basically like a mall, and it's airconditioned. It was such a nice place to shop in! I bought so much stuff!

  9. yeaaa, clothes there are really cheap. there's this place called divisoria and i think you can buy stuff for like 1/10 of a dollar. and ukay-ukay's are everywhere.
