Shopping in Rochester, NY

Hi,

My friend and I are going to visit a friend in Rochester, NY in November. Can anyone suggest some good shops/outlets (mainly clothing) in the area? We're coming over from UK/Ireland and plan to do a lot of shopping!

I suppose the answer depends on your tastes and budget.

If you love a bargain, visit Waterloo Premium Outlets (http://www.premiumoutlets.com/outlets/ou... where you'll find name brands at substantial discounts. It's about a half hour from Rochester, near exit 42 on the New York Thruway.

If you're a mall person, by far the best mall in the area is Eastview Mall in suburban Victor (http://www.eastviewmall.com/), where you'll find large department stores, high-end clothing stores, and a few boutique stores. Across the street (in different directions) are two big discount stores, Target and K-Mart.

If you like a small shop with unique goods, you'll probably want to visit the suburbs Brighton and Pittsford, both southeast of the city proper. Each has a few small, high-end stores near its center, which is 12 Corners for Brighton and Main and Monroe for Pittsford.
