  1. Hello. I think you are referring to the Queensborough Terrace Hotel, on Queensborough Terrace....? If so, it's a really good location as it's an area where lots of international tourists stay. Plenty of tourist shops,Hyde Park/Kensington Gardens is at the end of the road (cross Baywater Road)

In the area there are two tube stations...Bayswater and Queensway. To get to Regent Street jump onto the Central Line eastbound at Queensway. This will take you to Oxford Circus - the heart of the shopping district. Oxford Circus Tube is at the crossroads of Oxford Street and Regent Street.London is not especially known for bargains, but some of the clothes retailers have started their summer clothing sales early - so possible bargains.

Great shops on Regent Street - Hamleys, Apple Store, Quiksilver, f**k, Liberty, Burberry, Armani, Hugo Boss, CK, Tommy Hilfiger, Zara, Mango, Hackett, Lacoste, Moulton Brown

Great Shops on Oxford Street - all UK chain stores (HMV, Zavvi, Bootsx3, Superdrug, Phone shops, Sports World etc) Topshop/Man, Selfridges, Next x2, Huge M&S, River Island, Huge GAP, H&M x2, Huge Debenhams, House of Frazer and John Lewis, Uniqlo, Esprit, tons of shoe shops.

Near to the hotel is Whiteleys shopping centre - this has all the UK chain stores, some decent more upmarket places to eat (no McD's!) and a bowling lanes and cinema.

Bayswater tube is your other option - not great for getting to the shops but will let you pick up the Circle line to get to the main tourist attractions around Westminster Station, Embankment or in the financial district (Monument Station)

Fancy a market? Notting Hill and the famous Portobello Road Market is well within distance (should be a few bargains) Full info here : http://www.portobellomarket.org/

    Enjoy!!

Oh, also if you don't fancy the tube, loads of buses run on Bayswater Road into the centre of town.
