Shopping online... it never fails.

Question

Whenever I purchase something online, I get notice of a coupon or discount of the item I just purchased soon afterward and the store will not honor the discount after my recent purchase. Does anyone know when coupons or discounts are usually issued (i.e. every tuesday, every month on he 15th, etc.)? I kinda believe that retail is for suckers. =)

P.S. I hope this is in the right catergory... I couldn't find one that focused only on shopping.
