  1. Try target, Old Navy, Macy's, JCPennys, all department stores.

  2. Start earning the money to purchase your own clothes then you can decide where to shop.

  3. By chance does your mom take you to K-Mart and Wal-Mart because that is what she able to afford?  If that is it, perhaps you maybe could suggest to pay the extra amount for clothes at other stores.  Just talk to her about the situation.

  4. aww going to the shops with the family how cute :)

  5. Poor thing...have to go shopping with your mama?  Better'n not getting to go at all. Deal with it kid.   Sooner or later when you can get a job and make your own money then you can buy your own clothes at your own taste.   Then you can go to the mall and pay big bucks for shoes and jeans.   :)

  6. lol... just ask her to go out of town to a place that has a big mall and look through windows and say: this lookz like a cool store and just walk in even if she doesn't follow u

  7. uhm what store is right for a 10th grader a 6th grader AND a 2nd grader?

i think the places that covers that wide variety of ages is walmart and kmart....

  8. just steer her into the stores u wanna go to

  9. Old Navy - still reasonable and cute clothes for all ages!

  10. I suggest JcPennys...there before school sales are close to the price of walmart/kmart. In fact we go school shopping for our 6 kids at JcPennys only..They usually have a buy one get one free sale...It worked great for our 1st and 3rd grader as well as our 6th, 8th, 10th and 11th grader. Good Luck

  11. These days you can get perfectly acceptable clothing for a middle and elementary school child at Wal-Mart and Target.

I understand that as a 10th grader you want to fit in by having name brand clothing.  I haven't been out of school that long!!  Kohls is a good place to go to get the newer styles for less.  The key is to wait until they are having their sales.  You can keep track of them on the internet and just let your mom know when to go.

One thing my parents did once I hit middle school was give me a flat amount of money to spend for back to school stuff.  Back then we didn't have Wal-Marts, Targets, or Kohls, so we had to be creative with how we spent it.  I always went for quantity, because as a girl you got picked on if you wore the same things over and over.  My brother always went for the most stylish.  He'd spend $50 on one pair of guess jeans, where I'd just get 2 or 3 pairs of Levis.  You can suggest this to your mom and see if she likes the idea.  This way if some of your pants from last year still fit, you might just be able to get lots of shirts!!

  12. Oooh wow. This is like one of the hardest things to tell your mom. It's like saying "I'm not a baby anymore!" and tearing her apart.

Well we all have to say this to our parents one day. I know I did.

One day ask her to take you all to the mall. And when you get there look into the windows of a store you want to get some clothes at. Most likey she'll come in and look at the clothes with you. When shopping go "Oh my gosh! This is my new favorite store!" and every time you go shopping for clothes, spazz  because you're so excited to go to your new favorite store.

  13. What do you mean? Is wal-mart and k-mart not good enough or not your style i don't get it. I don't mean are you too good for those stores I mean what's wrong with them. You want to go to office max? or office depot? or staples? Just to let you know those are boring at least wal-mart and k-mart are fun..and there's more than clothes...or WAIT do you mean for Clothes shopping? Limited2...for girls, JC Penny kids section they have the new American Living collections which looks very high class (tommy hilfiger) without the price. Just say mommy...I appreciate you taking us to those other stores do you think we can try others stores like the limited too or Jc Pennies, even if it's not in our price range can we just go look maybe there are some sales or something or maybe it's not our styles but can we just try something different.

  14. Why don't u just take your brothers and go to a different store...that could be one option.... a second option would be go to the mall and say she can do something else while ur shopping for clothes...because your going to be the one wearing them not her....ha ha...also you could just tell her u want a change of things

  15. You mean you don't get to pick out your clothes by this age?? That's odd to me. As long as the clothing doesn't bare all I see no issue. Anyway, I would convince her to head to the mall. Although I'm guessing since she shops there for all 3 of you, she's likely doing it for convenience and cost. Has your mom ever considered buying on eBay? You can buy A LOT of clothes there for what you'd pay at walmart, Kmart, target and a fair amount comes new too. You can also buy small to large lots of clothing on there. That's the way I go for my kids clothing now so that way my daughters can stand out. WAY too many kids here wear clothes from the stores you listed and old navy and my kids like to dress differently.

    Good luck!
