Question:

Short Circuit Comes Back On???

Hello. Today, I was on my computer for like 3 mins, with an electric heater next to me...these were like the only things turned on. All of a sudden, the power goes out JUST in my room alone in the whole house. Only the bottom outlets would not turn on. So I go to the power box and flip a few breakers and nada. So I wait and wait and wait for about 4-6 hours, and still nothing...So I go in my room, take my plug that's hooked up to my amp, (which is not turned on), and plug it into a different outlet about 4-5 feet away on the same wall. I plug it in, don't even turn the amp on, and the power turns back on! Yay! My question is, why did it turn on when I plugged the amp into a different outlet without even turning the amp on? Thx.

  1. There's probably a fuse or a GFI in the power strip that you replaced.  It need to be replaced or reset.
