  1. nothing, just figure when you ovulate and have s*x.

  2. Having a short luteal phase will greatly reduce your chances of getting pregnant.   A fertilized egg needs at least 10 days to properly implant. If your luteal phase is 9 days or less, even if you get pregnant there won't be enough time for the egg to implant in your uterus. Your progesterone level is already beginning to drop and your uterine lining is preparing to shed.  Chart your cycles, if you notice your luteal phase, the time from ovulation to the beginning of your next period, is less than 10 days, you should consult your doctor.  A luteal phase defect is treatable.

  3. supposedly they say that the ideal L Phase should be 12-14 days for a healthy pregnant. I was on a 28 day cycle and got my 1st Pos ovulation test on day 18-which meant i could ovulate anytime within 36 hours. So technically i could have ovulated as late as day 20. I did a HPT on day 28 10 days after my 1st pos ovulation test and got a very faint positive. I tested 2 days later and it was mega dark!

I was also monitoring my temps from day 18 and had a dip on 6dpo which would be cd 24 then it went back up 7dpo. Now supposedly it is impossible to have implantation dip 6 days past ovulation but i did and i am currently 14 weeks pregnant!

    Hope this helps x

  4. It depends on how short is short. If it is at least 10 days, then there is no problem. Pregnancy can be achieved with at least 10 days. If it is less than 10 days, the egg may not have enough time to properly implant. If it doesn't have the chance, then it can't tell your body to produce the pregnancy hormone hcg. Hcg will stop your menstrual period by keeping the progesterone high and the estrogen lower. You can still get pregnant, but you might want to check with a doctor to lengthen the luteal phase. Best of luck to you!
